Billy Boyz Unable To Live With Wheat's Heat

Richard Wheatley once again lit up the Louis Yates Plymouth & District Friday Darts League with a fine performance for title chasing Tradesmans A in their 8-5 win at King Billy.

Wheatley (25.67) took the least number of darts prize with a fine 39 darter in his individuals and ended his night with a ten ton haul that included one of the two maximums.

The other went to teammate Mike O'Brien who added that to a 129 three dart combination outshot that gave the Stonehouse outfit a least number of darts and high checkout double for the week across all fixtures.

Geordie Baker (25.03) fired 1001 points in 40 darts as Windmill claimed a 9-4 win over Weston Mill Oak Villa who had Chris Lancaster checking 103 in a single visit.

Chris Adams' 109 combination out was the only effort to better a 102 from Rob May who also fired the only maximum of Tradesmans B's Stonehouse derby loss to Octagon by an 8-5 score line.

Tommy Graham (25.03) heard 'game shot' after throwing 40 darts for Legends Lounge in a 7-6 loss to Mark Gavican's Mainstone.

Gavican added the matchup's only maximum whilst Dan Capel was the hero of the hour with an individual win during the twelfth game that gave his team the win.

Matt Legge and Jamie Sandford produced the fireworks in Cattedown Social Club's 7-6 win over Ker St with a 180 and a 98 checkout respectively.

Steve Harris added a 180 as the Falstaff recovered from deficits of 3-1 and 5-2 to claim a respectable six points in a narrow 7-6 loss against the leaders Kings Tamerton.

Steve Lamerton's maximum was the only moment of magic during an 8-5 loss to Pennycross in their visit to Victory.
