'Billy Boyz' Lead Cut In Open League

King Billy A secured a last gasp 6-5 win over Ker St C saw them maintain the Division A lead in the Plymouth Open, but that advantage is now just three points.

The topsy-turvy match was eventually decided by Lee Doncaster's 2-0 singles success in the eleventh clash of the night with the score locked at 5-5.

Four of eleven tons overall from Kieran Burns helped the 'Billy Boyz' take a 2-0 lead before a Burns 180 wasn't enough to extend that advantage as Ker St got their first point.

The points were then passed back and forth before Burns completed his ton haul to make it 5-2 to the new leaders.

Three straight singles from Ker St, which culminated with a Robbie Bisgrove 133 outshot put the game's result in the balance before Doncaster finished the job for his team.

Logan Carroll showed sharp finishing with checkouts of 84 and 95 during Lugger's 9-2 win over Legends Lounge; a win that puts the Devonport team second in the table.

Dave Jarvis and Alan Jewell added maximums for Falstaff A in their 6-5 win over Mainstone that was eventually won by Len Brown in the final tie of the contest.

Keith Carter and Kieran Harris added a maximum for each of their teams as St Levans triumphed 8-3 over Cherry Tree B who drop to third in the table due to that result.

Division B leaders had Jonathan Easterbrook finishing in one visit from 103 during their 10-1 success over Prince Maurice that maintains their lead to sixteen points after seven starts.

Cleo Trelease checked 82 in a single visit to the board by found herself on the wrong end of a 7-4 score line as Duchy were downed by Fortescue.

Trelease's finish was usurped by a marvellous 83 by Lee Medway but Medway was defeated 2-1 by the new Devon callup in the individual phase.

Ker St A sit second after a 10-1 win away at Cherry Tree A whilst Railway won 7-4 against Devonport rivals King Billy B.

Darren Savory put together two maximums in the same leg whilst teammate Tyler Borthwick helped himself to a 102 checkout in St Johnston B's 9-2 win over Half Moon in Division C.

Leaders St Johnston A now hold a lead of five points thanks to a 7-4 away win at Jolly Miller whilst there was a 9-2 win for Weston Mill over Queens Dock and Falstaff B secured an 8-3 success over Stoke Inn.
