Ben Provides Bridge Over Troubled Waters

The reigning Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League champions are still very much in danger of surrendering their title to leaders Kings Tamerton, but Ben Waters' form helped them to a 12-1 win.

That Tradesmans A success over Cattedown SC saw Waters (27.81) end his night on ten tons and with a 36 dart 1001 leg.

The only point polished off by the hosts was put away in one dart less as Matt Legge (28.60) heard 'game shot' after throwing 35 darts for the best leg of the game week and Legge also finished his night with ten tons.

Waters teammate and brother, Andy Waters, netted the best of all twelve checkouts in the match with a 99 kill that ended up taking second best to Steve Daley's 104 across all fixtures in the league.

Daley's aforementioned effort came in a 9-4 defeat for Octagon during their visit to Mainstone whilst Legends Lounge matched Tradesmans A's big winning exploits in a 12-1 triumph over Pennycross.

The trio of Del Bryce, Nathan Beeney and Dave Webb (26.34) put together a 38 dart 1001 leg in the trebles whilst Beeney and Bryce added to the highlights reel individually.

Beeney's 88 checkout was the best finish of the matchup overall whilst Bryce's 180 was the only one of it's kind in the dominant display.

Steve Harris (25.67) completed thirteen turns at the oche in his 39 dart 1001 win during Falstaff's 9-4 triumph over Cherry Tree.

The high checkout was shared amongst the two teams as Dan Nixon and Dave Jarvis both checked 70 at the first time of asking.

Ten tons each from Victory pair Glyn Wells and Matt Abbott gave the Honicknowle side the platform to claim a 12-1 win over bottom side Ker St.

A 75 combination kill by Abbott and Wells' teammate Shane Roberts allowed him to walk away with the honour of the highest finish of the match.

Kings Tamerton ended the night twenty-eight ahead of their rivals for the title, Tradesmans A who have two games in hand, after a 10-3 win at Windmill.

Simon Washington added the only 180 of the game whilst teammate Paul Sanders polished off 72 in a single visit to the board.

A 94 checkout by Chris Lancaster and a 180 from David Young came in a 12-1 win for Young's Tradesmans B over Lancaster's Weston Mill Oak Villa.
