An All White Night For Neil

The Octagon juggernaut shows no sign of slowing down in the Plymouth City Super League Division A with another 10-1 win plundered against one of the likely candidates for second spot, Cornwall Gate.

Neil White was the hero of the hour this time around with a sixteen ton haul that wasn't bettered by any of the twelve on display.

Paul Palmer's tally of thirteen tons was the next best whilst John Mann added twelve tons and eleven scores of a ton or more were plundered by Alfie Ford.

Mann and Lee Agar paired for a 21 dart 601 leg in the doubles that was won 2-0 with an 87 combination out shot from the former another highlight in that affair.

The individual phase started with Mann rounding off his 3-1 win over Steve Rice with a brace of 17 darters with Rice claiming his only leg in 18 darts.

Col Maddocks was defeated 3-2 by Palmer in spite of the first of four maximums in the match before White checked in 17 during a 3-1 win.

The man on the end of that White loss was Dan Bunney who checked 74 in a single visit and plundered a maximum only a few months after succumbing to dartitis and changing laterality to throw left handed.

Andy Malinowski got his team's only point with a 3-1 win over Alfie Ford before Lee Agar won 3-0, thanks in part to a leg in 16 and a maximum.

Lee Hellings then made it double figures for his side with a leg in 18 and the fourth and final 180 during another 3-0 triumph.

George Beckett shone for Steampacket in a 6-5 Devonport derby loss to King Billy with fourteen scores of a ton or more plundered.

One of those was a 110 checkout that was the best finish of the game; narrowly beating a 96 by Paddy Archibald for the victors.

Archibald performed admirably and ended on ten tons overall to join teammates Alec Turner and Mark Yeoman in achieving that particular feat.

Lee Rodmell fired the only maximum of the contest for the home side whilst Marc Webber added a 180 to his thirteen ton plus haul.

The best leg of the match came over the 601 distance as Archibald and Yeoman teammed well to claim a 21 darter in the doubles phase.

Simon Kelly's thirteen ton plusses couldn't stop Kings Arms B from throwing away a 4-1 lead to finally lose 6-5 on the last game of the night to Ker St.

Roger Bailey was the man who became the hero of the hour with a 3-1 win over Tony Gordon when on last at 5-5.

Gordon put up two of the four maximums in the match during that contest as teammate Steve Mayne and Bailey's teammate Paul Tackle both added one each.

That Tackle effort left him on ten tons for his night whilst a respectable 90 combination out shot gave Paul Carpenter the highest checkout of the matchup.

Indian Inn B might've took the spoils of a 7-4 win over Clifton but it was Wayne Town who lit up proceedings with thirteen tons for the defeated team.

Town's 81 checkout was bettered twice in the match as both Dan Brazier and Ant Pearn shared the best checkout honours a 100 finish a piece.

Brazier's (27.32) kill topped his personal ton tally up to twelve and came in a 3-0 singles success that contained legs in 18 and 17 darts whilst teammate Scott Wapshott added ten ton plusses overall.

Heavy scoring by Steve Mills and Nick Miller gave Cherry Tree A the ammunition to claim a 10-1 win over Indian Inn A.

Mills ended his night on twelve tons whilst a 180 by Miller ticked him over to a dectet of three figure visits as the Pennycross side put the visitors to the sword.

Cherry Tree C were also 10-1 winners with Bluebird B their victims as Frankie Stout led the way in the scoring stakes.

Stout's eleven tons haul included one of the four maximums for the visitors as Mark Bell, Nathan Langdon and Steve Towl all added to Stout's 180.

Dan Jewell fired a 93 combination out shot whilst the best leg of 501 came from the arm of Towl who netted a leg in 15 during his 3-1 individual triumph.
