An Act Of Dodd
A 12-1 Tradesmans A derby day success over Tradesmans B in the Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League was dominated by the form of Jayden Dodd.
Dodd (27.81) secured a 1001 leg in just 36 darts with a 180 his best score in that rubber to take the least number of darts prize for the week, and Dodd ended the encounter on ten tons overall.
That effort narrowly bettered a 37 dart leg from teammate Andrew Nation (27.05) whilst the trio of Mike O'Brien, Ben Waters and Andy Waters (26.34) also performed well in their trebles
Such was the standard that a 39 darter by Dodd and Andy Waters (25.67), that was checked with a three dart combination of 104 by the latter, had to settle for fourth best of the contest.
Kieran Burns (27.05) bagged himself a 37 dart 1001 leg and the only 180 of a 9-4 success for King Billy over Windmill.
A 12-1 win for title chasing Victory at Cherry Tree was lit up by Jordan Grimshaw's ten ton haul whilst teammate Shaun Williams added the only maximum of the contest.
Dave Jarvis' (26.34) 38 dart individual win contained the only 180 of a 7-6 home defeat for Jarvis' Falstaff versus Grenville.
An 86 checkout from each team during leaders Kings Tamerton's 10-3 success over Legends Lounge was plundered by Paul Sanders and Dave Webb respectively whilst Octagon won 10-3 at Weston Mill Oak Villa.
