Alan Masters Scoring Phase But Bluebird Defeated

Jack McMinn and Alan Masters produced twelve tons a piece but couldn't arrest a Bluebird A slide to an 8-3 defeat to Brewery Tap in the Monday Premier League.



Masters' mammoth total was added to by the team's only maximum whilst McMinn took the high checkout honours with a 120 kill.


Dave Webb and Dave Barton were most prominent for the triumphant visitors with a 180 and a leg in 17 respectively; an effort that beat an 18 darter for Shaune Kittle.



Dale Halford put eleven three figure scores onto the scoreboard but still ended up on the wrong side of a 7-4 defeat as Bluebird B fell to Cherry Tree A.


The Compton team produced most of the moments of magic during the matchup as Nigel Bassett's 109 took the high checkout honours and Dan Hurley hit the only maximum.



Hurley's 15 darter in a narrow 3-2 individual defeat bettered a 17 dart leg from Paul Freeman who provided the victors with one of four individual successes.


Glenn Halford and George Beckett lit up Bluebird C's 7-4 win over Cherry Tree B as the opposing pair bagged themselves ten tons each.



Halford's total was accented by a maximum for the victorious team whilst the Pennycross side had Kevin Doel to thank for their sole 180 of the evening.


Paddy Archibald top scored with eleven tons, including a maximum, his a 6-5 win for Victory B over Indian Inn; one of two 180s scored by the team.



Harry Bull was prominent for the Stoke village side with a 105 checkout and a 16 darter in his 3-1 singles success, which helped push the score line to a 5-5 crescendo.


Paul Goundry (28.90) grabbed the game's other during a 3-0 success that was put away inside eighteen visits to the board; legs of 15 and 18 darts contributing to that emphatic win.



The mercurial Scott Cook had the last laugh as he won the final game of the night 3-0 to give his team a good win against a similarly talented side.
