A Mighty Good Mann

John Mann (31.31) showed his class in a high scoring Steve Chapman 501 League contest between Fawn B and Cherry Tree C that ended 7-4 to Mann's Greenbank side.

Mann showed his undoubted brilliance with a 3-0 win that saw legs plundered in 16, 15 and 17 darts whilst Mann added one of his two 180s in that superb win.

Other maximums from the victors came from Lee Agar, Sean Taylor, Jack McMinn and Simon Washington who also nailed the highest checkout of the week of 150.

Agar's maxi came in a 3-0 singles success that saw a leg delivered in just 16 darts whilst Fred Goldsmith put up two decent legs with 18 and 17 darts his best during another 3-0 triumph.

Luke Johnson and Lee Hellings' both added maximums for the defeated team to make it eight overall whilst Hellings 15 darter proved crucial in deciding his 3-2 victory over McMinn.

Mike Pearce (28.90) provided some excellent fireworks for St Levans with legs in 16 and 17 darts coming in a 3-0 singles success, which helped the Keyham outfit to a 7-4 win over Victory Fireballs.

Pearce helped himself to fourteen three figure visits during the contest overall with one of those coming in the form of a 180.

Matt Pearce and Tex Pearce joined their family member and teammate in achieving a maximum score whilst most of the flames from the away team were from the arm of AJ Brunton.

Brunton (27.83) netted legs in 18 and 17 darts and finished a leg with a 128 three darter during his 3-0 success whilst teammate Neal Walters power scored throughout to reach ten tons.

Andrew Cook (27.33) fired a 16 darter in his 3-0 win and meandered his way to twelve tons during a 10-1 win for King Billy at Victory Hammers.

Lewis Byrne, Frankie Stout and Brandon Hartley all reached ten tons apiece whilst the latter threw what turned out to be a crucial 18 darter in his 3-2 win.

Byrne joined Paddy Archibald in nailing a maximum each whilst the only moment of magic for the defeated team came from the arm of Lee O'Mahony with a 118 checkout.

Rob May was a ton hitter thirteen times, which lead Tradesmans to an 8-3 win during their visit to Fawn A who had Liam Taylor in good nick with the only maximum of the contest.

Dan Brazier's eleven ton haul was accented by a 147 combination out shot that came in a 9-2 win for Cherry Tree A at The Exchange.

Brazier's teammate Jordan Heath showed his class as he was the only player amongst the twelve strong cohort to hear '180' called after throwing his three darts.

Tony Tasker lit up proceedings for Victory A with a 180 that topped his ton total up to the ten mark during an 11-0 win over Firkin Scholar.

Steve Ebsworth fired the only maximum for the defeated team whilst teammate Scott Heggie showed promise with a 17 darter in a 3-1 singles defeat.

Two ton plus checkouts were nailed by Tasker's teammates as Paul Goundry's 120 combination pushed a 115 from Scott Lawrey into second best of the match.

Two of Paul Hendy's three maximums came in a 3-1 singles win that proved crucial for Kings Arms in a 6-5 win over Cherry Tree D.

Hendy nailed a brace of 16 darters in that game that gave him the success in the eleventh and final contest of the night whilst a third 16 dart leg was plundered by Cam O'Brien.

O'Brien's effort proved crucial in a 3-2 triumph and bettered a leg in 17 from teammate Martin Pearson during his 3-1 victory.

Hendy's teammates Alec Turner and Paul Palmer showed good form at the business end of legs as Palmer added an 18 darter in his 3-1 win to Turner's 98 combination out.

Scott Wapshott's 117 checkout joined Beau Carter's 180 as the only noteworthy contributions to a 9-2 win for Wapshott's Cherry Tree B over Carter's Beacon Park.

Steve Daley and Alfie Ford added a 110 checkout and a 180 to Octagon's 9-2 triumph during a local derby success at Duchy.
