A Good Mann Is Hard To Find

John Mann's thirteen three figure scores helped runaway leaders Tradesmans to a 10-1 win in their Monday Premier League visit to King Billy A.

Mann was supported in the endeavour by teammate Jaden Whitting who finished his evening on ten ton plusses.

Despite ending on the wrong side of a heavy defeat, the Devonport side still managed to put up all of the maximums as Kev Lofthouse was joined by Andrew Cook in achieving that particular feat.

Cook finished his night on eleven tons and also contributed legs of 17 and 18 darts in dispatching Cornwall teammate Whitting 3-0.

Mann's (27.33) individual game was won by the same score line as he nailed a leg in 16 whilst there was an 18 darter for Simon Washington during his 3-0 triumph.

Glenn Halford's twelve ton haul neutralised the same achievement from Harry Bull as Halford's Bluebird B overcame Bull's Indian by a 7-4 score line.

Bull won his individual game 3-0 with the help of an 18 darter; a feat matched by Halford's teammate Dan Hurley in another 3-0 success.

Danny Bull's fine 124 three dart combination out shot was not only the best of thirty-two finishes in this particular match, but also the week across all six fixtures.

Alex Roach fired eleven tons for Victory in a 9-2 win over Cherry Tree B that saw five maximums and four ton plus out shots.

Roach added to three treble visits from colleagues Quinton Taylor and Liam Taylor whilst George Beckett provided a brace of 180s on his way to eleven three figure scores for the defeated side.

Marc Webber's 116 finish was sandwiched between a 122 and 115 from Quinton Taylor in the order of merit whilst Liam Taylor's 108 settled for the fourth best of the night.

Liam Taylor's 17 darter 3-1 win was the joint best leg of 501 in the game as Roach added one of his own in a 3-2 win.

Quinton Taylor (26.37) fired two 18 dart legs on his way to a 3-0 win whilst Webber also produced a solitary leg in six completed visits on his way to a 3-0 triumph of his own.

Ten tons from Dan Giles provided the ammunition for Colebrook to take a 7-4 win from their visit to Octagon B; for whom Steve Daley checked 97 at the first time asking.

A contest between Octagon A and Cherry Tree A finished 8-3 to the former and with four men ending the night on ten ton plusses.

Paul Palmer joined teammates Lewis Dare and Lee Hellings in achieving that whilst Paul Freeman was the only member of the defeated side to reach that particular milestone.

Dare's tally was ticked over by two of the three maximums as Paul Hendy fired a third for his team whilst Palmer's 91 checkout provided the best finish of the contest.

Jayden Dodd's leg in 16 darts during a 3-0 win was the best of the night whilst both Hellings and Matt Nicholson's 3-1 wins both came with one leg in 18 darts.

King Billy B were 9-2 winners over Bluebird A in a game that saw a 180 a piece for each as Paul Goundry joined Wayne Oddie in achieving that particular feat whilst Scott Cook's 3-1 win saw one leg won in 16.
